Raising funds to help underprivileged families pay for private therapies.

Magnify Autism is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization dedicated to supporting and promoting awareness for the autism community, specifically young children on the spectrum.

We’ve donated over $67,000 into the Autism Community, which includes Prompt Speech with Michelle Solomon, Two Sensory Toy Drive, 6 Private Swim lessons at Rivertown Academy, and 3 Summer Boost Programs, which include 6 weeks of private ABA, Speech, OT, and Parent Training. In addition, all merchandise is contracted through Spectrum designs, a company who employs adults on the spectrum.

The mission is to raise money for the ongoing research of causes and treatments, as well as to provide financial assistance to families in need.

We hope to do this by creating a connection between families and knowledge to help provide support and encouragement in their journey towards an understanding of their child's typical development and what it means to be identified as having autism spectrum disorder.

By donating you will be helping us achieve our goal of promoting awareness, increasing education, and enhancing support for individuals with autism.

Some children with autism should undergo ongoing screenings for apraxia, a rare neurological speech disorder, because the two conditions often go hand-in-hand, according to researchers.

  • "...Through them a huge financial weight was lifted, where insurance couldn’t help, and when we couldn’t afford, they provided something that no words of gratitude can hope to express, an opportunity for our son to receive the absolute best..."

  • “Ezekiel had a great time with the program. I am happy we were given this opportunity by Magnify Autism for Ezekiel to attend swimming lessons that he really enjoyed. The staff at Rivertown Academy was very supportive, warm, friendly, and understanding with working with children on the spectrum. Ezekiel looked forward to Saturday’s. Thank you again. “

  • “Juan Jr. was able to go underwater and tried to swim to the ladder. The instructor's are amazing. My son is gaining confidence and it makes me so proud. If it wasn’t for Magnify Autism Inc and Rivertown Academy, he would not have been able to enjoy this weekly experience. Thank you!”

Did You Know?

Each person with ASD has different communication skills. Some people can speak well. Others can’t speak at all or only very little. About 40% of children with ASD do not talk at all. About 25%–30% of children with ASD have some words at 12 to 18 months of age and then lose them. Others might speak, but not until later in childhood.

EXAMPLES OF COMMUNICATION ISSUES RELATED TO ASD:

ESTIMATED ABA THERAPY COST PER YEAR

When you complete the most basic research into the cost of ABA therapy in the U.S., the figure of $120 per hour with a board-certified ABA therapist is likely to scare you.

After all, simple maths shows that even a few hours each week could cost you dearly:

10 hours per week x $120 = $1,200 per week or $62,400 per year
20 hours per week x $120 = $2,400 per week or $124,800 per year
40 hours per week x $120 = $4,800 per week or $249,600 per year

Delayed speech and language skills
Repeats words or phrases over and over (echolalia)
Reverses pronouns (e.g., says “you” instead of “I”)
Gives unrelated answers to questions
Does not point or respond to pointing
Uses few or no gestures (e.g., does not wave goodbye)
Talks in a flat, robot-like, or sing-song voice
Does not pretend in play (e.g., does not pretend to “feed” a doll)
Does not understand jokes, sarcasm, or teasing
